Hey there!

My name is Rachel, but to most who know me, I'm just Rae.

I've been into photography my whole life. I got my first camera around age 8 and took photos of everything! I still have pictures of my dolls, bed, boom box; literally EVERYTHING from that first year. Since then, my skills have evolved just a lil bit! 

I was born and raised in Southern California in a town I lovingly refer to as, “Suburbia”. At 23, I reluctantly (but with a touch of hopeful anticipation) moved to Phoenix. About a year after moving here, I met a firefighter in a bar. I know, I know…SO lame. But he was the brother of a friend and seemed like a decent guy, so I shrugged and took my chances. On our first date, I remember thinking, “Uh oh...I'm in biiiig trouble.” Cut to 20+ years later and we’re married with two amazing little girls. Who'da thunk?? 

Growing up, it was a known fact that I'd always have a camera, and nothing’s changed. My camera has become like an appendage. In fact, I would totally consider having it surgically attached but that would seriously hinder my coffee and wine habits! I have created thousands of images in my everyday life and I've completed classes, seminars, and workshops in portrait photography, Photoshop and Lightroom. Now I'm putting all of that experience and my fire for making beautiful photos to work for you! 

Creating portraits of families, newborns, seniors and graduates, and couples in gorgeous natural light make my heart smile BIG. The real joy comes from getting to know the special details about my clients and their personalities and making those details shine through in my images. Plus, I’m kind of a huge goob, so we have big fun in the process!
